I am a scientist and consultant devoted to scientific research, technology development, technology transfer, and teaching. I am the Principal Investigator of The Unconventional Computing Lab (my research group) and a Professor of Computer Science at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
My work is focused on understanding all scientific and societal aspects of computation as well as on contributing towards the economic development of modern society based on science and technology.
I am a leading scientist in the field of quantum walks, cofounder of the field Quantum Image Processing and founder of quantum computing in Mexico.
I hold a DPhil in Physics and an MSc by research in Computer Vision, both degrees awarded by The University of Oxford. I also hold an MBA and a BSc in Digital Electronics & Computer Science, both degrees awarded by Tecnológico de Monterrey.
